I first picked up a camera in the mid-1980s and soon developed a passion for seeing life through a lens. Back then, there were no digital cameras—only film. I quickly learned how to use an SLR camera, but developing my photographic eye and creative skills became a lifelong journey, one that continues to this day.

In the early 2000s, I made the transition to a Digital SLR (DSLR). To be honest, I was initially slow to adapt to this new way of working, particularly when it came to the editing process. At first, I felt that editing wasn't really photography and that enhancing images was somehow cheating. However, as technology advanced and digital photography evolved, I realised that adaptation was essential.

Today, I fully embrace the creative possibilities that digital photography offers. While capturing a great image in-camera remains my goal, I also appreciate how careful editing can enhance a photograph and help bring my artistic vision to life. Photography is, after all, an art form, and every image tells a story.

With a full-time job occupying most weekdays, my opportunities to get out with the camera are often limited to weekends. This means I don't always get the weather or conditions I hope for, but I've learned to make the most of whatever nature provides and remain grateful for every opportunity to be outdoors with my camera.

My main passion is landscape and wildlife photography. I love the great outdoors, whether that's exploring the countryside, walking through nature reserves, or seeking out dramatic scenery and memorable wildlife encounters. However, I am not afraid to turn my camera to other subjects. Over the years, I have photographed a wide range of genres, including a wedding, equine photo shoots, pet sessions, and portraits.

These days, photography is less about assignments and more about personal enjoyment. I simply love getting out there, exploring new places, and creating images for myself. Through this website, I am delighted to share some of my favourite photographs and experiences with you, and I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed capturing them.
